Planned Gifts: Leaving a Legacy for Greenbelt Alliance
You should consider how charitable giving fits with your overall estate plan. Including a non-profit in your will or trust can be beneficial for tax purposes, emphasizing to your heirs the importance of giving, and continuing your support of an organization or cause you believe in. One thing is certain. The only effective way to protect yourself and your family is through your will or trust. If you don’t determine how your assets are distributed, someone else (including the State of California) will. After you have taken care of your family and friends, you may want to consider including Greenbelt Alliance in your plans. Greenbelt Alliance welcomes bequests and other gifts of any size. If you decide to include Greenbelt Alliance in your bequest, you will become a member of the Jack Kent Jr. Legacy Circle and will be recognized (unless you tell us you would rather be anonymous) in Greenbelt Alliance’s annual report and periodic publications. The beauty of the Bay Area, the leadership of Greenbelt Alliance, and your legacy gift will create one of the best places in the world to live. Here are some of the oportunities Greenbelt Alliance has available: Greenbelt Alliance cannot render tax or legal advice. We look forward to working with you and your legal or financial advisers and welcome your inquiries. To contact us about financial planning, please email legacy@greenbelt.org or call Development Director Ernie Notar ar 415-543-6771 x305. Thank you for your thoughtful planning. |
