Q: When is Bluegrass for the Greenbelt this year?

A. Overnight Camping: Friday, June 3 – Saturday, June 4
Festival: Saturday, June 4, 2011. Doors 10:00; Music 11:00

Q: Where is the festival? 

A. The festival takes place in the meadow of the Dunsmuir-Hellman Historic Estate, 2960 Peralta Oaks Court in Oakland.

Q: How do I get there?

A. We strongly encourage all concert-goers to take public or human-powered transportation.  There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle

AC Transit: Bus #45/Foothill Square drops off near Dunsmuir. Walk or bike up 106th Ave. and turn right onto Peralta Oaks Drive, following the signs to Dunsmuir. Click here for information about AC Transit Line 45.

Q: How do I buy tickets?

A. Tickets are available online at Slim's SF! Through May 13, camping package tickets are $50 and festival tickets are $25.

A. Early Bird (through May 13): $25
Advance (through June 3): $30
Door: $40

Camping: $50

Q: Who is playing?

A. The 2011 concert features the Brothers Comatose, Marley’s Ghost (who just released their new album, Ghost Town), award–winning performers Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands, the Kathy Kallick Band, The Tuttles with AJ Lee, and Arann Harris and the Farm Band. Read more about the artists.

Q: What are we allowed to bring?

A. Coolers, blankets, and short-back chairs are allowed. Picnicking is encouraged (no glass bottles/containers!). Bring sunscreen and a hat for shade, plus a reusable water bottle to refill.

Please respect the park. Pick up and take away everything you bring in.

Q: Will there be food and beverages for sale?

A. Yes! Festival fare will be available from vendors. Wine and local brews will be available from Drake’s Brewing Company.

Q: Are cameras allowed?

A. Photography for personal use only is permitted. No flash, please. Commercial photography and sound and video recording of any kind is prohibited.

Q: Will you have special activities for kids?

A. Young bluegrass fans will enjoy pony rides, face painting, a petting zoo and more! 

Q: Do you recycle? Compost?

A. Receptacles for recycling, composting, and trash will be available. Please help us divert as much trash as possible into recycling/composting.

Q: Restroom facilities?

A. There will be portable restrooms and hand-washing stations on site.

Q: Disabled accessibility?

A. The venue is accessible for guests with mobility issues and staff is available to assist guests as needed.

Q: What is not allowed?

A. No dogs or other pets of any kind, regardless of size, except authorized services animals.

No glass containers (bottles, food jars, etc.) of any kind are allowed.

No illegal substances, fireworks, or weapons of any kind.

Please do not bring high-backed lawn chairs, umbrellas and any item that would obstruct the view of other guests.
