Go Greenbelt! is a fundraiser: the ride raises funds to protect the Bay Area's working farms and natural areas by stopping sprawl development and promoting smart growth within city boundaries. The more funds riders raise, the more local open space we can save. Riders raise funds by getting friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers (and anyone else they can think of) to sponsor them in the ride. Click here to register now. Or click here to sponsor a rider. Each rider will have his or her own web page for accepting online pledges, or we will provide a sample fundraising letter (232 KB)and sponsorship forms (1012 KB) to each rider. To be eligible for fundraising prizes, riders must each surpass their $1,000 fundraising goal (this includes part-time riders). Most riders go far beyond that minimum every year—last year, riders raised an average of $1,400 each!
