Marin Outreach Volunteer

Greenbelt Alliance is seeking several energetic and reliable individuals to staff an information table at San Rafael’s fun and bustling Thursday night farmers market to promote our Live Local initiative.

About Us
Greenbelt Alliance is the Bay Area's leading land conservation and urban planning nonprofit, working to make the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area a better place to live by protecting the region's greenbelt and improving the livability of its cities and towns. Since 1958, we have been actively protecting open space, opposing sprawl, and promoting smart growth.

Live Local is a new initiative that promotes affordable, workforce housing in Marin so that employees can live closer to their jobs, reducing cars on the road and transportation-related greenhouse gases. Our goal is to work with neighbors and community leaders to bring together the best thinking and most innovative approaches from the environmental, social justice, business and affordable housing communities to meet Marin County’s need for workforce homes. With the highest percentage of employees commuting in from other counties (60% and growing), Marin needs to find new opportunities for essential workers to be able to live near their jobs. www.livelocalmarin.org
