Napa's Measure P Renews Measure J

We won!

Thanks to voters and supporters, Measure P will now protect Napa County’s scenic mountains and vineyards, and will preserve Napa’s vital agricultural industry and small-town lifestyle. Out-of-control growth is a constant threat to Napa’s working farms and natural areas.

  • Napa’s agricultural land is the backbone of its world-renowned wine industry.
  • Preserving watersheds keeps our water clean and protects our water supply.
  • Napa County is defined by the farmland and open spaces that create this unique and beloved region.

Measure P will renew Measure J, Napa County’s landmark agricultural preservation policy, for 50 years and will protect Napa’s quality of life for future generations.

  • Measure P will extend the current Measure J, with new, important protections for watershed lands and improved affordable housing policies.
  • Measure P will protect Napa County’s beautiful valleys, hills, and mountains, as Measure J has done for the past 17 years.
  • Measure P will ensure that Napa County continues to guide most growth into existing cities, instead of paving over our valuable agricultural land.

What's at Stake

In the Bay Area, strong development pressure requires that we stay vigilant in protecting our working farms and natural areas. Napa County has protected a huge amount of agricultural land and open space through Measure J.

It is imperative that this protection be extended so these beautiful valleys and mountains remain protected by Measure J provisions.
