Two important measures on the Nov. 4 ballot!
Solano County: YES on Measure T
Measure T will safeguard more than 440,000 acres of Solano County farmland and open space by amending the Orderly Grwoth Initiative to incorporate updates to the General Plan, and extend it until 2028. Greenbelt Alliance urges local residents to get involved.
See the General Plan Campaign webpage for more information.
Napa County: YES on Measure P
Napa County’s precedent-setting farmland protection measure, first adopted in 1990, requires any proposed development on agricultural land to be voted on by the entire county. Greenbelt Alliance has joined allies such as the Napa County Farm Bureau in campaigning to renew these protections for the next fifty years. To get involved, visit the Napa Measure P webpage.
City of Vacaville adopts urban growth boundary
Vacaville joins Fairfield and Benicia as cities in Solano County with boundaries defining where development should and should not go, which significantly aids in protecting open space and promoting sustainable growth. Greenbelt Alliance applauds Vacaville’s leaders for taking this important step.
