Sonoma Casino Plans Change
We worked with a diverse group of Sonoma County organizations to stop a casino from being built on sensitive bay lands, and now we are assessing a new proposal to build a casino on the outskirts of Rohnert Park.

Victory in Brentwood!
After years of determined work by Brentwood residents and Greenbelt Alliance, in August the Brentwood city council unanimously adopted an inclusionary zoning ordinance.

A Special Guest at the Commonwealth Club
Greenbelt Alliance, The Association of Bay Area Governments, and East Bay Community Foundation are honored to host former Maryland Governor Parris Glendening for a presentation on the role of state government in promoting smart growth. The event will take place at the Commonwealth Club on September 30th at 6:00 pm.

Greenbelt Alliance Origins: High Tech and High Spirits
2003 marks the forty-fifth anniversary of Greenbelt Alliance's work to protect open space and promote livable communities. Throughout this year we are highlighting our history in the Newswire.

Livable Communities Program Expands
