Important Antioch Community Meeting, May 12 |
Greenbelt Alliance
* The Newswire
Volume 3, Issue 4, April 2004
Antioch, in eastern Contra Costa County, is one of the fastest growing cities
in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, much of this growth has been in the form of sprawl
development, despite the wishes of many Antioch residents.
The 2,700 acres of the Sand Creek area (aka FUA #1) south of town face immediate
risk of sprawl development. Our campaign to protect Sand Creek will be the featured
topic at a community townhall meeting on traffic and growth. The meeting information
follows:
Date: Wednesday, May 12th
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: Dallas Ranch Middle School in Antioch
Address: 1401
Mt.
Hamilton Drive
You can keep up to date on our campaign to protect Sand Creek
by attending the meeting, visiting www.greenbelt.org, or contacting
our new East Bay Field Representative, David Reid, at (925) 932-7776.
