Solano County is faced with a once-in-a-generation opportunity to set better transportation priorities. The Solano Transportation Authority (STA) is considering increasing the Solano County sales tax by one-half cent to pay for the County's transportation needs over the next 30 years. Greenbelt Alliance is working to ensure the expenditure plan for this tax does not exclusively support costly highway expansion projects that promote sprawl, degrade air quality and cause more congestion.
