Protect Open Space in San Mateo County!

Greenbelt Alliance is working with a coalition of open space advocates to expand the boundaries of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (MROSD) all the way to the coast. The expansion, if approved, would allow the District to preserve scenic vistas, precious farmland, and important natural resources along the San Mateo County coast.

We need your help! The decision to allow the District boundary expansion now rests with the San Mateo County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo). LAFCo needs to know that the people of the Bay Area support open space protection along our coast.

Please send email supporting the MROSD boundary expansion to LAFCo in care of Martha Poyatos, Executive Officer, at mpoyatos@co.sanmateo.ca.us. Come to the LAFCo hearings scheduled for March 9th and March 17th and let the commissioners know you stand for open space protection.
