San Pablo Avenue redesign input sought

Subheading

NEWS BRIEFS

Residents with ideas on a redesign of San Pablo Avenue are encouraged to attend a public workshop on revitalizing the corridor from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Oakland Public Library Auditorium, 125 14th St., Oakland.

Present will be Assemblywoman Loni Hancock, representatives from Caltrans, the Association of Bay Area Governments, East Bay Community Foundation, Greenbelt Alliance, AC Transit and other local jurisdictions along the San Pablo corridor.

The goal is to create a pedestrian-friendly avenue with affordable housing, commercial and retail businesses, and a range of transportation options.

At the public workshop, attendees will learn more about re-energizing a corridor and be invited to share their ideas and opinions by participating in an instant response survey about San Pablo Avenue.

Special assistance, translation services or further information can be requested by contacting Karla Nemeth at 510-433-8962 Ext. 8986.
