April 15, 2005 Reporters' Notebook Subheading BylineThe Greenbelt Alliance, a Bay Area land use organization, announced its support for the Bay Meadows Phase II redevelopment plan. The alliance said the development’s transit-based housing, retail and office design will promote walking and mass transit. The Bay Meadows Land Company wants to build 1,250 housing units, 1.25 million square feet of office space and 150,000 square feet of retail in the 83-acre plot. ### |
