Wildflowers in the greenbelt

Paul McHugh, Chronicle Outdoors Writer

The Bay Area's Greenbelt Alliance has announced its schedule of spring wildflower hikes. This Saturday's (April 2) selection visits the Palisades Pleasures of Napa County, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on a challenging 12-mile hike on Mt. St. Helena. On Sunday (April 3), the hike is Springtime Valley Views, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., an easy four-mile hike in San Pedro Valley Park near Pacifica. For contacts, details and many other types of outings in the series, contact the Alliance: (415) 543-6781, ext. 321, or www.greenbelt.org
