Greenbelt Alliance In the NewsSeptember 29, 2006 Greenbelt to discuss transit development Subheading Kerry BenefieldGreenbelt Alliance will lead a tour and discussion of proposed transit-oriented development in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square on Saturday morning. The group will meet at 10 a.m. at Chop's Teen Center, 509 Adams St., for a discussion and slide show before moving on to a walking tour of Railroad Square. Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit plans to build a 5.5-acre development including high-density housing, restaurants and a food and wine center on the west side of Railroad Square. Voters in both Sonoma and Marin counties will vote Nov. 7 on a tax to help pay for rail service between Cloverdale and Larkspur with a stop in Railroad Square.
